From the beginning, AmaWaterways’ goal was to create a river cruise company that they themselves would enjoy. That meant offering the highest quality, locally sourced food and wine; elegantly appointed ships with cabins and suites that maximize views to enjoy the ever-changing landscape; and a crew that goes above and beyond, treating every guest as if they were part of their family. With that in mind, AmaWaterways has been building one-of-a-kind ships for 18 years. They are intimate, modern vessels that average 156 guests, a far cry from many traditional river cruise ships. AmaWaterways also offers a diverse range of excursions, including walking and cycling tours, food walks and tastings, but always in small groups of just 10-15 people. For 2021, they will continue their commitment to innovation with 5 new European itineraries, 3 new ships and their debut on the Nile.
